Wall Grout

Our full shower regrout service begins with the meticulous removal of your existing wall grout, starting from the top of the shower screen all the way down to the floor tiles. Unlike the commonly used refacing method, we employ an engineered diamond tool to remove the existing grout to a depth of half the tile joint width. This technique guarantees superior bonding and offers excellent protection against mold growth. The shower walls are then regrouted using a smooth, flexible, and mold-resistant waterproof polymer grout, ensuring long-lasting results.

Hydro-Barrie Application

To enhance the waterproofing capabilities of your shower, we apply our high-quality hydro-barrier. This clear, deep penetrating siloxane waterproofing solution has a high pH level and is designed to create a waterproofing barrier below the surface. It effectively prevents water from penetrating porous substrates, hairline cracks, and glazing crazes. By applying the hydro-barrier to both the walls and floor tiles, we ensure comprehensive protection against water ingress.

Epoxy Floor Preparation

As part of our service, we thoroughly prepare your shower floor tiles by removing the existing floor tile grout. We also focus on the junctions between the wall and floor tiles, as well as any vertical internal junctions, such as the vertical and horizontal hob and wall tile junctions. Our specially engineered diamond burs ensure a clean product bond to the tiles, promoting superior adhesion rather than surface-level attachment.

Seal Internal of Waste

In many showers, the grate is not mechanically connected to the waste riser, leaving the sand and cement screed visible once the grate is removed. This configuration allows for capillary action of wastewater through the screed underneath the tiles. To prevent further capillary action, we apply an epoxy sleeve to the screed, effectively sealing it and inhibiting water penetration.

Epoxy Regrouting

Our skilled technicians utilize EPG epoxy grout for the regrouting process. EPG epoxy grout is applied to the prepared junctions and floor joints, providing a robust and watertight seal. The application includes creating a 5mm coving around the internal corners, ensuring optimal protection against water infiltration. The EPG epoxy grout is carefully color-matched to your shower, resulting in a clean and seamless appearance. It possesses exceptional strength to withstand normal building movement, ensuring durability and longevity. This specialized epoxy grout does not crack, deteriorate, or allow water to penetrate through the junctions. It remains unaffected by strong chemical cleaning agents, making maintenance hassle-free.

Seal Shower Screen

To complete the regrouting process, we pay attention to the shower floor area up to the internal portion of the shower screen. Firstly, we remove the existing sealant from the bottom of the screen where it rests on top of the floor tiles. Once the epoxy regrouting is complete, we apply a new, high-quality mold inhabitant sealant to ensure a watertight seal and prevent the growth of mold and mildew.
